 Photo Friday Noteworthy for "The Road". Thanks everyone. We’re back home. A couple of days outside of Tampa visiting friends and a week at Disney for a wonderful Butler family vacation. We couldn’t have had a better time. Looks like the blog worked well on auto-pilot for the week, so now I’ll try to catch up on email and visiting my favorite fellow bloggers. The first weekend we stayed in Odessa (just north of Tampa) with the Bachmanns. One afternoon while the Butler girls and the Bachmann girls were off on an adventure, I drove over to Tarpon Springs about 30 minutes away. It’s a beautiful little town on the Gulf. I spent a couple of hours looking around and then ate lunch at the Tarpon Diner. Pretty laid back. This shot was taken on the way back to Odessa on Trinity Boulevard. The clouds had been amazing all day but I think I had been trying too hard to make something work so nothing really worked. Then I saw this. The road had been pretty busy until I reached this stretch, so I pulled over. You could see forever in both directions so when it was clear, I could stand in the middle of the road and shoot. Quite a contrast to the crowds we would see later in the week. More to come from Tarpon Springs, Odessa and of course, Disney.
