The minute this guy walked up, I thought of the Brand New Day shot from a couple of months ago. Some small changes made a big difference in the outcome though. This time, I was on the beach at the same level as the surfer, not up on the pier. Sunrise has moved more parallel to the shore, not back over the land. And the sun was higher and brighter on this morning. I like how this turned out, especially the reflection on the wet sand, but if I was forced to choose, I would pick the original. Just something about that shot I really love. Fortunately, I don't have to choose and I can keep them both.
