![]() Back in the middle of May, Graffiti Bridge got a new coat of paint courtesy of some local Florida Gator fans. I love the scale. The vision. They didn't just tag it. They painted the whole thing. I complained a bit on the original Graffiti Bridge at Night post about the quality of the graffiti on the bridge and while this may not rise to the level of high art, (that would require the colors crimson and white) it's a step. They at least had a plan. It only took a day or two for new tags to show up and now, a few weeks later, it's completely back to chaos. And that got me thinking. Maybe I was wrong in my first post. Maybe it's not about the quality of the individual tags. Maybe the beauty of this landmark graffiti target is that it's constantly moving and changing and becoming something new all the time. When people first see it, they tend to see an eyesore. It's only after you live with it for a while and it becomes part of you and part of your town that you appreciate it. That's pretty cool. -Just finished reading 'No Country for Old Men' tonight. A page turner that reads like a screenplay. They should make a movie out of it. -Just bought R.E.M.'s 'Live form London' on iTunes, sold exclusively on iTunes and actually recorded at an Apple Store. I'm not making that up. I wonder if it was mixed with Garage Band. Hope you're having a week that is good.
