![]() Florida Caverns State Park series. The center piece of the park is the hardest thing to photograph there. Guided tours only so the pace is set by the guide and the group. No proper tripods allowed in the cave so shooting in low light is tough. I have a little 3 inch tall tripod I keep in my bag for just such occasions so I was able to get off a few shots from ground level. Nothing I was overjoyed with but a couple of keepers. The cave is pretty cool. About a 45 minute tour. It's no Ruby Falls but we had a good time. We need to get up to the Smokies sometime with the girls. They need to See Rock City. OK. So I just linked to the site and looked around for a minute. There's a See Rock City Photos section and there are some amazing photographic opportunities at The Rock. We do need to go. But there's also a funny/cool addition to the place. There's now a Starbucks in Rock City. I can hear some of you moan and sigh but I think it's awesome. (Oh, I just remembered. Jim reminded me I forgot to list something on my last post. Apparently, the Philadelphia Penguins are playing in the National Hockey Association tournament. Hopefully they can bring home the Stan Lee Trophy. Go Phil's!) Posted by blbutler on May 22nd, 2008 Archived under: Color, Nature, Places, Travel |
