 UPDATE: New information has just come in on the Jail Bird case. While out shooting the other morning, I came across this exotic, flamboyant, colorful creature and he had this beautiful bird with him. The bird's name was Opus and his owner was called Cutter John. Opus had a lot to say about Jimmy the Neck. They met at the local watering hole where Jimmy was known by yet another alias; Frasier. Turns out, Opus is past president and present party-planner of the Panhandle Parrot Heads. (It may sound like a demotion but in the Parrot Heads, party-planner outranks president. Also, the Panhandle Parrot Heads are not to be confused with the Pensacola Parrot Heads who split from the group after the great saltine vs ritz debate of 2003.) Anyway, while at a club meeting, Opus heard Frasier pulled off quite a coup before flying the coop. He got involved with a local sports star known for running cock fights and fixed a fight by convincing one of the birds to take a dive. He made a killing on that one and along with his brother Niles, decided it was time to head south. Opus also said the boat was just a red herring. They ditched the boat a few miles out and left on a wheelchair powered by helium filled balloons. Weird story but Opus said he was just repeating exactly what he had heard.
