 Back to my Downtown Pensacola portraits. Another one that is pretty close to my original vision of this series. There are a lot of these beautiful old houses downtown but it seems most of them are being used as businesses instead of homes these days. Not that there's anything wrong with that because it's great to see these old buildings preserved and put to good use. This one is now the office for a group of attorneys. Seems appropriate for a profession that prides itself on tradition. Across the street from this house you'll find Dharma Blue on Seville Square. Dharma Blue is another one of our favorite downtown restaurants and it's also located in a beautiful old home. I'll try to shoot it one day when the light is right. If you're wondering what that is at the base of the flag pole, it's a Tail of Two Cities. One of the Pelicans in Paradise that are scattered around town. (I love the theme of this one.) When they first came out, the girls and I went on a pelican scavenger hunt to find and photograph all of them with the girls posing next to them. That was much fun.
