![]() Moonlight from the pier on Pensacola Beach last night. I wasn't planning on shooting after sunset but the girls and I walked out to the end of the pier and by the time we got back, it was getting dark. I saw this scene as we walked back and took a few shots. I didn't have my tripod with me so I had to use the railing of the pier to steady the camera. I almost didn't take this shot. It's hard to tell how long exposures are going to turn out. I saw something in the light but the girls were getting tired and were ready to go, so I almost just kept walking. But as they walked on in front of me, I took a quick test shot just to see what would happen. When I saw the LCD it was pretty cool. I called for them to come back and they slooowly did. I showed them the shot and they both said WOW at the same time and said they would sit on the bench and wait if I wanted to take some more. So sweet. I took a couple more just hoping I was keeping the camera still enough and then we headed back to the car. Thanks girls. 10sec - f/5.6 - ISO100 - 17mm(27mm eq) - RAW Posted by blbutler on April 13th, 2006 Archived under: Favorites, Night / Long Exposure, Color, Nature, Places |
